A New Approach to torah and mishnah
This site offers a new new approach to the study of the Torah and the Mishnah. It is based on an original discovery which has been published in peer-reviewed journals and is consistent with traditional Jewish understandings. Students on all levels have utilized this approach to deepen their understanding and appreciation of the Torah and the Mishnah.
The Discovery: Woven Texts
Both the Torah and the Mishnah were constructed as non-linear texts. In order to view them as they were constructed, they have been laid-out as tables, or weaves. This layout provides:
- a direct view of the inner literary structure
- insight into the overall conceptual plan
- a grasp of the book's inherent integrity
- a graphic representation of hierarchical organization
- integration of diverse textual elements
- new directions for exegesis
